Some Changes

There have been a number of things we have done to our home since we moved in. We put in a new white kitchen from Lowes, painted a few rooms, put up two storage sheds and a new porch on the side of the house. I'll include some pictures here.

The living room was a dark gold. I painted it an Olympic "Toast" that we had in the living room at our previous home. It is a lovely neutral color. The fan is new too.

Poppy's first job, almost, was to insulate the playhouse and put siding on the walls and windows. Chloe insisted on it. She wanted electricity but we drew the line on that.

I love our little back porch. It is a special place to sit on summer evenings, or..........

quiet summer mornings when the sun is rising.

2014 Begins

I really have a desire to continue this blog which I started when we wanted to move into our old fashioned farm house over 1 1/2 years ago. I wanted to keep a journal, if you will, of the things we have done to improve and beautify this house. It looks like that did not happen, but it is my  desire is to try to keep up the story of our house and life a little better this new year. So, I will begin with this introductory post and a picture of our house I took the other day when we had one of the few snows that we experience in the winters here in NC. Hopefully I will keep this journal up throughout the year so my family will have a little tale of our life to read when I am gone someday.
